My name is Nathan Weston. I wanted to put a face on the person you will be meeting at your pool. I prefer to do the work myself because every pool is different and there’s no substitute for experience. I have always said it takes 2 years to gain the confidence to find a pool leak efficiently. After 24 years of finding leaks in pools I’m going to make it look easy. I have my flagship business in beautiful Naples where I’m sure everyone will benefit from my expertise.
Leak detection and repairs is all I do
A few pool companies advertise leak detection as a sales tool. But the process can quickly prove to be more than some kids can handle. You can’t just run around in a pool truck and claim to find leaks – even though many try. They boast a low flat rate to get you to bite the bait, but then switch to resurface your entire pool. With my state of the art equipment, I can find leaks where others simply cannot.

I also taught leak detection in Orlando, which means I have used every high tech instrument in the industry. Some of these tools are very expensive and have to be used everyday to justify the price. I have the best equipment that the others will not buy.
If I don’t find your leak, you don’t pay for the service
We are the only ones to offer such a guarantee in writing because we have the confidence to consistently solve the problem every time. This is a trap for the inexperienced where a few easy jobs work out fine, but then their luck runs out and they have to confront the impossible. You will never hear from them again.
I am the "best deal" in the industry
Some companies charge you less up front but are quick to charge you extra for the cost of repairs. I have not raised my prices in 20 years because I’ve only gotten better and faster at what I do: That’s why I can respond to service calls quickly. It’s so rare nowadays to see the owner working the job himself but it’s such a specialized field it takes years to learn to do it the right way.
I like to keep the repairs simple
If anybody insists that your deck has to be ripped up to replace the skimmer or your plastic light housing has to be dug up to be repaired its best to get a second opinion. Some companies have a business model of making $1500 repairs out of a small problem just to turn a profit. I'm constantly researching materials and repairs to find the least expensive and simplest solution to solve your problem quickly. Most pools have just one leak but sometimes a patch did not set right and the pool still continues to leak. We consider any water loss of more than 1/4" a day a leak that we need to recheck for free.

Minor epoxy repairs such as patches in lights or bottom drains are included. I offer a 30 day warranty for secondary leaks. During the snowbird season we cannot travel outside the Naples area including Marco Island, Ft Myers and Cape Coral. Estimates for bigger pipe repairs which require digging through a concrete deck can cost $1200 for a residential pool and $1500 for a commercial pool. By now you have heard of the "Bucket Test": Placing a 5 gallon pail on the pool steps to measure the loss of water over a few days. This accounts for rain and evaporation. I often just look at the tile line and see if a dust line is present from day to day. Rain can wash off the particles but usually its right on target |

As a suggestion it's a good idea to turn off waterfalls and fountains and see if the pool holds water better. The fountain picture is a "Sheer Descent" and can leak easily. Other rock waterfalls can be impossible to test. |

No green pools please- Good visibility is a must because our divers need to visually inspect every inch of the pool. Sometimes a pool gets so green that nothing can be done until the leak is fixed- let us know- we might suggest to let it drain a bit and see if it stops at a reasonable level. |
*When you phone us, we like to use the computer and get a satellite view of your pool. Many of these pools we have already been to before, and some neighborhoods we know well. When we ask for your street address right away, its just to look up the location of the pool.
*a day before the appointment shut the pump off so the water is calm before we arrive; We have sensitive instruments that need the water settled and not draining in from the filter. If you have a pool/spa try to take note if the water level stays full in the spa before the pump turns on in the morning.
* In the winter our job becomes difficult; Heat the pool if you can; Some people are surprised to hear we will be swimming in the pool and it makes quite a difference if the pool is heated to a reasonable temperature. The average cost to run a heat pump is $60- $150 a month so on the high side it cost $5 a day to heat the pool. We do have insulated wet suits but they are tight fitting and difficult to take on and off for just a quick dive. Is there a particular time the sun shines best on the pool? let us know so we are not freezing in the shade.
*Again, We normally dive every pool and visually look for every leak possible. Visibility is key and a clean pool is important, please tell us over the phone if the pool is green, we may still be able to help even if we can’t dive it.

*We love animals, but some dogs get overexcited with new people or want to run down the road as soon as the gate is opened. Please keep the dogs indoors. If you have a lawn service- help us avoid each other and schedule us for different days |
*We usually call when in route to your house 15 minutes before we arrive: We would like to met you out back by the pool. Most jobs are scheduled for a 2 hour window. Major repairs are scheduled for another day.
